Kalita holds a master’s in chemical engineering from the University of Birmingham and currently works in the Amazon Logistics UK Project Engineering Team delivering new launch warehouse sites. She gained chartered engineering status in 2021 following her work in various roles within the fast moving consumer goods industry. She has previously worked as a design and commissioning engineer on the expansion of several food, drinks and pharmaceutical manufacturing production lines. She is an active STEM ambassador supporting several outreach initiatives including the Social Mobility Foundation and Amazon Future Engineering bursary programme, Royal Academy of Engineering.
