Paulo is the Data Science and Analytics Manager at BA Glass in Porto, Portugal. BA Glass is a company that produces sustainable bottles and jars in a material that is 100% recyclable: glass. BA Glass has 12 producing plants in Europe and has a business presence in more than 60 countries. In his work, Paulo uses best in class algorithms and machine learning to process real-time data to optimise production, digitalise processes and improve efficiencies. Previously, Paulo worked at BP in London for 10 years and lectured drilling engineering in a MSc in Petroleum Engineering. Paulo is passionate about data manipulation and engineering. He is a chemical engineer and holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Porto, Portugal.
Paulo spends his time off work playing with his children, building Lego, going for long walks with his family or playing Hearthstone online.
