Salary: Up to £36,575 per annum + excellent benefits

We are seeking a dynamic Programme Manager to join the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering team.

The role

As Programme Manager you will help manage and deliver the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering (QEPrize) - a £500,000 annual prize which celebrates engineering excellence that has worldwide impact for humanity. You will support the work of our community of global experts as they identify the game-changing engineering innovations which make our world a better place. Working in collaboration with our colleagues at the Royal Academy of Engineering, you will be central to providing our international judging panel with detailed, complete and peer-reviewed nominations ensuring a smooth judging process to successfully celebrate engineering visionaries.

You will manage QEPrize cycle activities and be involved in the delivery of our two flagship events - the annual QEPrize winner(s) announcement event and the prestigious presentation ceremony - where we recognise the work of our QEPrize laureates. You will be responsible for partnership management of senior stakeholders across industry, academia, government and more. Situated at the Royal Academy of Engineering in central London, you will work closely with colleagues across the Academy and key partners including the Science Museum.

Who are we looking for?

You will have a strong track record of delivering all aspects of programme management and experience of working with the most senior stakeholders. You will be a highly effective communicator - both verbally and in writing - and will be comfortable supporting the work of international panels of experts from industry and academia. You will be organised and methodical, with meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Tracking finances, negotiating with suppliers and managing multiple work streams should be second nature to you.

You will also have a commitment to diversity and inclusion and a conviction that listening to a diverse range of voices results in improved outcomes.

Above all, we are looking for someone with initiative, flexibility, and the drive to learn new skills to help us embed the QEPrize as the world's leading prize for engineers and engineering. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
