After studying mechanical engineering at university, Stephen went on to work as a graduate for OneSubsea, a leader in products, services and integrated solution for the subsea oil and gas sector. He has since completed a postgraduate master’s degree in subsea engineering and now works managing a global response team, supporting onshore and subsea operations.
Stephen works on a variety of projects, from subsea well intervention using technological advancements to carry out operations enhancing production flow rates, to onshore LNG pipeline leak detection systems, deploying the latest in fibre optic measuring to monitor pipelines with real time data across a network of hundreds of kilometres to a high level of accuracy.
Stephen has been part of the QEPrize Ambassador Network since its formation and was a finalist in the very first Create the Trophy competition in 2013.
As part of the Ambassador Council, he wants to promote diversity within engineering.
