Stephanie is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Iowa in the United States. She received a B.A. in International Relations and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She specializes in water and wastewater treatment, but her current work looks specifically at the exposure mechanisms and resulting health impacts for children from break downs in water and sanitation infrastructure in developing countries. She also works with STEM education programs in local schools especially promoting careers and opportunities for women.
