My design was inspired by the interlocking gear system, a fundamental symbol of mechanical engineering and synergy. The overlapping, geometric layers and the rotating formation reflect the intricate connectivity of modern engineering, where diverse fields work together to drive global progress. I wanted the trophy to embody the concept of "momentum," showcasing how one innovative idea can set an entire system of change in motion. The formation features precise, angular lines and a dynamic, modular structure that mirrors the balance between complexity and efficiency. The open, multi-faceted aesthetic was intentional, representing the transparency of knowledge and the continuous flow of innovation. By choosing the gear mechanism as my inspiration, I aimed to create a design that resonates with the collaborative spirit of engineers, reminding us that our collective ingenuity is the engine that builds a better future.
