I was inspired to create something unique that utilized a simple object that transformed into a completely different, natural form. I accomplished this through using triangular prisms by aligning and positioning their orientations to create a series of rings that are balanced and complement each other. The rings’ circular shape signifies the responsibility an engineer has, to continuously strive to improve humanity. Additionally, the rings symbolize the relentless nature of engineers to continually improve, innovate and advance. The way the eccentric rings connect and support each other is imagery for the unity among all engineers, regardless of discipline, to solve some of the world’s greatest problems. Lastly, as a ring is never ending, it represents a sustainable future. A goal that one day will be accomplished through the ongoing persistence by leaders in the field of engineering.
