What are you studying?

I am a student currently studying Computing and cyber security at University.

Why did you decide to enter the competition?

I thought that by entering the competition I would combine my computing skills and integrate my artistic passions from performing. A different approach to someone developing from a traditional engineering background. I enjoyed the challenge of working outside my normal focus and comfort, a welcome diversion during COVID lockdown.

What was the inspiration behind your design?

I considered modern and historical architecture across the globe but got inspiration from the technical design and movement of computer boards and added the free flowing contours of nature and to which in turn resulted in my unique take on the project.

How would it feel to win the competition and have your design transformed into a piece of engineering history?

I would be overwhelmed to think that the trophy I have designed gets recognised in this way and added to a line of impressive predecessors.
