Professor Dame Lynn Gladden DBE

Dame Lynn Gladden is the Shell Professor of Chemical Engineering and former Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge. She was Pro Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Cambridge (2010-2015). A physicist, chemist and chartered engineer, Dame Lynn studied at Bristol and Cambridge. Today she leads activities at the Magnetic Resonance Research Centre, an international centre of excellence in applying magnetic resonance imaging to chemical engineering.
Dame Lynn is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Institute of Physics. In 2020, she was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to academic and industrial research in chemical engineering.
