Dame Anne Richards

Anne Richards was appointed Chair of Coutts in September 2025.
Anne has substantial financial services and wealth management experience and is currently Senior Adviser of Fidelity International, having previously served as their Chief Executive Officer since 2018.
She was previously Chief Executive Officer of M&G Investments and Global Chief Investment Officer at Aberdeen Asset Management, and is a Non Executive Director of Land Securities.
Anne is a Chartered Engineer and began her career as a research fellow at CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research. She is a former chair of the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s Practitioner Panel and was appointed a board member of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) in December 2020. Anne became chair of TheCityUK in June 2022.
Anne is a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and was appointed a Dame Commander (DBE) in June 2021 for services to Financial Services, Women, Education and Science.
