About Fran Scott

Fran Scott is an engineering presenter, maker and pyrotechnician. She is an expert prop builder and science communication consultant who specialises in the use of physical demonstrations to explain seemingly complex scientific phenomena. Working mostly with TV, radio and stage, Fran has presented on CBBC’s Absolute Genius with Dick and Dom, BBC Bitesize, UK Lego Masters and Abandoned Engineering. She also has the second series of ABB’s ‘The Robot Podcast’ due out soon and is working on two maker-based children’s books.

In addition, Fran is Creative Director of ‘Great Scott! Productions’ working with engineering firms to produce high-quality classroom resources and workshops to inspire the next generation of engineers whilst simultaneously developing the talents of under-represented presenters. Fran is also a proud Trustee of the Brunel Museum.
