For a trophy, I figured that a shape that was simple and elegant would work best. It could be displayed in a variety of contexts; therefore, it needs to both blend in and stand out. Because the trophy is for an engineer I wanted it to evoke the built world.

This design is reminiscent of sky scrapers, particularly the Burj Khalifa, in the way that it reaches and tapers. The spiraling shape draws the eye up and encourages one to look up and to engage. Using hexagonal columns with orbs on the end create a more dynamic piece. Each angle catches the light differently.
