Samiha Nasher

The inspiration behind my design stemmed from successes in engineering - particularly how women in STEM have come so far as we are today. I chose a rose for the focal point of the trophy as it symbolises the beauty that parallels the contributions of women in engineering. The thorns of the rose represent perseverance and the obstacles / challenges that women have had to overcome in the past to get us to where we are today in society. The circle around the trophy represents unity, and people sharing experiences across the globe.
