Creativity meets logic

I’ve always loved maths because it seems so logical but I also love finding creative ways to make something new. Engineering brings both of those aspects together. We use maths and science to solve problems but need creativity to think of new ways to use them.ChoiceOne of the reasons it’s hard to explain engineering is that it can be completely different depending on the industry, the company and your role. I love that there are so many different options and paths you can take, all of which use similar underlying skills but take you into completely different areas of business and life.

Making a difference

The most important reason for me in choosing my current role and company was that I wanted to make sure that I was using my skills to make a positive difference in the world. There are so many areas of engineering and most of them provide something that is really needed and that gives me a huge amount of satisfaction.

Other engineers

I love other engineers. We can be very weird at times but it’s so much fun to be around other people that want to figure things out and try new ideas.
